BRISBANE ANTIQUE EMPORIUM HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

This impressive antique outlet occupies a whole corner, incorporating long-standing local antique legends Discovery Corner and the upcoming Buy Design homewares and espresso shed.

The main showroom is the bright non-dusty star here, with an immaculately restored collection of furniture, estate silver and jewellery, ceramics, glass and metalware and collectables including militaria, gramophones, clocks and paintings.

Eras covered include Victorian, Georgian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco and this is one of the few places to score a piece by Bell Brothers or Rosenstengel, Brisbane’s early to mid 20th century ‘it’ furniture. Iconic furniture maker Ed Rosenstengel had a much-visited store in Brunswick St Fortitude Valley and was commissioned to make furniture for royal visits as well as making gifts for royals. (The gorgeous Bell Brothers furniture building still stands in Barry Pde Fortitude Valley).
