Michael Allen Antiques

East Brisbane

Updated: May 20, 2020

Michael Allen Antiques is a fancy black 1880’s weather board shop that consistently houses one of Brisbane’s most intriguing antique collections.

Where else can you happen upon stuff such as enclosed 19th century beds from Brittany, Chinese mother of pearl gaming chips, French marble headstones, Egyptian carved doors and vintage suits from Hardy Amies under one small tin roof?

Owners Michael and Vanessa source wares from the Middle East, Europe and the UK (with an emphasis on the Georgian and Victorian eras) in between running their fascinating blog.
