As of 2013 Dogstar has permanently closed in the CBD.

As one of several Dogstar boutiques scattered around the inner city, this CBD outlet is a welcome retreat for fashion-chain-store-weary shoppers.

The brainchild of quirky Brisbane-based Japanese designer Masayo Yasuki, the little boutique stocks clothing from the Dogstar, Essence and Laika labels - original and innovative designs that tend to wrap and defy symmetry yet are eminently wearable – along with sassy jewellery and accessories such as those by leathercraft artisan Roz Fenson to complement.
