Northside Tip Shop
Geebung
Brisbane City Council's Northside Tip Shop at Geebung is heaven for vintage, retro and second-hand enthusiasts, or anyone interested in good quality recycled bric-a-brac.
Along with its southside counterpart in Acacia Ridge, this cavernous warehouse is filled with all manner of items once destined for landfill.

Thanks to Brisbane City Council's four resource recovery centres, visitors to this northside warehouse will discover rows and rows of "treasure" in the form of toys, books, bikes, sporting equipment, kitchen supplies and furniture.

There really is something for everyone here, however families on a budget will be especially excited by the bargains to be found. There are a surprising amount of children's play "stuff" as well as CDs, footwear, wheelchairs, suitcases and everything in between.

Nice to know - Be sure to stop by the display shop at the front of the warehouse which contains many unusual collector items, jewellery and other objects in excellent condition. The tip shop is run by the Endeavour Foundation, an Australia-wide organization supporting people with disabilities.
Need to know - It's best to get to the tip shop first thing on the weekend (i.e. Saturday mornings) as sought after treasures get snapped up early.
In a nutshell - An impressive warehouse filled with good quality vintage, retro and second-hand household items.
