Next Episode is a secret hip hop bar with a concealed entrance inside a barber’s shop in South Brisbane’s Fish Lane.

Located between Cordelia and Manning Street, Next Episode is a gritty little den that punters access by dialling the ever-changing number on the vintage phone and hey presto! the mirrored wall unlocks a door to the bar.

Inside there’s a handful of booths, stunning street mural featuring rap artists, a mosaic tiled bar with neon-lit Draanks sign and a DJ in the corner spinning hip hop tunes.

True to theme the drinks list has cocktails such as Hendrick’s Lamar, Henry & a Ho, I Got 99 Problems but a Drink Ain’t One and the Cali Love espresso martini. Otherwise there’s 4 beers on tap and tins including local brews from Slipstream and Aether Brewing Co, a small but interesting selection of wine and bubbles and spirits.

Whilst no food is served, punters are welcome to order some finger-lickin’ delicious bites from Roddy’s Rippin’ Rib Shack next door.

Need to know – The phone code is updated regularly on Next Episode’s Facebook page and is also posted on the wall next to the phone.
