Flour & Chocolate

Redcliffe

Updated: Jul 17, 2024

One of Brisbane's best bakeries, Flour & Chocolate, has opened on the northside in the bayside suburb of Redcliffe.

Located opposite Charlish Park, just a short stroll from Bee Gees Way, lucky locals have been lining up to get their hands on one of the patisserie's artisan treats.

Inside the bakery, cabinets are crammed with a delectable selection of sweet and savoury treats including Flour & Chocolate's famous double chocolate brownie with white choc chips, as well as fluffy vanilla slices, zesty lemon meringue tarts, and chocolate eclairs filled with chantilly cream, chocolate, pistachio or coffee custard.

There are whole cakes, bar cakes and cupcakes in delicious flavours like raspberry velvet, classic chocolate, Turkish delight, carrot and walnut, and rich English butter cake.

Pastries on offer range from French croissants (traditional butter, almond, and chocolate), danish delights filled with creamy custard and topped with raspberry, blueberry, boysenberry, apple crumble or salted caramel, and light profiteroles filled with fresh cream, topped with berries.

Savoury treats include sausage rolls, handmade quiches, and freshly baked foccacia topped with olives and feta, pumpkin and feta, or mushroom and ricotta. Plus, there's an array of fresh sandwiches such as classic egg salad, ham and brie, egg and bacon brioche, and the Salami Milano Special - salami, leg ham, tasty cheese, pickles, tomato, baby spinach and olives.

The patisserie also provides gourmet pantry items, from artisan cheeses and cured meats, to homemade biscuits (melting moments, jam drops, biscotti), house-made preserves (onion marmalade, capsicum and ginger relish, lemon curd) and gluten-free rocky road made with 100% couverture chocolate in three flavours (milk, dark and white). And don't forget to pick up a loaf of fresh bread with a range of traditional sourdoughs and artisan breads like Italian ciabattas, French baguettes and brioche rolls on offer.

Take-away or enjoy your treat onsite with undercover, outdoor seating provided, where you can savour your baked goodie with a cup of expertly brewed coffee or organic tea.
