La Macelleria Gelateria
Teneriffe
From Bologna to Brisbane, La Macelleria Gelataria dishes up delicious traditional Italian gelato, sorbetto and Segafredo espresso.

Located on Florence Street in trendy Teneriffe, La Macelleria is the brainchild of two Matteos (Zine and Casone) trained in the art of gelato at Italy’s GelAteneo (gelato school).

After falling in love with Australia while travelling, the boys from Bologna decided to open a gelato boutique in Brisbane like the one they began in their hometown - named La Macelleria (the butchery) because it was housed in an old butcher's shop.

Providing real, authentic Italian style ice-cream, churned fresh each day using natural ingredients, twenty flavours range from typical Italian like caffe (coffee), bacio (chocolate/hazelnut) and pistacchio to tiramisu, caramello salato (salted caramel) and malaga (rum and raison); while sorbetto is available in pineapple, lemon, strawberry and orange.
