Tram Post No.26

Coorparoo

Updated: Mar 09, 2025

From 1925 to 1955 trams ran along Cavendish Rd and this red post signifying Stop 26 and enclosed and preserved by council is a sole forlorn relic of the era when clumps of hat-wearing gloved passengers would await their transport home from the shops. The other remnants are the old heritage preserved tracks that lie along Old Cleveland Rd between Jones Rd and Burn St Carina.
