Powerkids: Art Lab
Brisbane Powerhouse
Powerkids: Art Lab is a multi-sensory experience combining storytelling, music and visual arts in free fun, play-based activities for 0-5 year-olds and their adults at Brisbane Powerhouse during school terms.
On Wednesdays from 9am-12pm, little ones will be guided through history’s most famous stories with an arty adventure designed to unlock creativity, ignite imaginations, and experiment with the artists of Little Match Productions, Alicia Cush and Penny Challen.
This term, go on a musical adventure with the Town Musicians of Bremen. Join Meg, Alicia and Penny as they bring to life Donkey, Dog, Cat and Rooster of The Grand Ragtag Animal Band, journeying on the path to the Bremen Music Festival.
Participants' artworks will be photographed and recorded during the session, and at the end of term, the recorded material will be combined to create a finished digital masterpiece to share.
Need to know - To accommodate all little artists, Powerhouse have introduced a booking system to manage capacities. Bookings will be open from 12 noon each Monday before the event. There is free parking at New Farm Park or just off Lamington Street.
Good to know - Make a super fun day of it by combining a Powerkids session with a play in New Farm Park's fantastic playground next door.
