David Walliams’ best-selling children's book, Billionaire Boy, comes to life on stage at QUT Gardens Theatre from May 11 to 17.

Based on David Walliams’ third novel for young readers, Billionaire Boy has been adapted for stage by CDP Theatre Producers (The 91-Storey Treehouse, The Gruffalo and David Walliams’ Mr Stink) with songs, laughs and yes, that cat sick and sweet potato mash from the canteen.

Twelve-year-old Joe has everything a boy could ever want, including a golden underwater Ferrari and his very own cinema. Joe and his Dad have more money than you could possibly imagine but all Joe really needs is a friend.

Life gets really tough when Joe arrives at his new school and has to face the school bully, his Dad's new girlfriend and the world's worst school canteen. And he learns that money can't buy you everything!

This play is perfect for children aged 6-12 and their parents, exploring important social issues such as bullying, relationships and self-esteem with lots of laughs and loveable characters.

“Filled with humour and soul, this is not a show you want to miss!" - Maryam Master (Playwright).
