Brisbane Comedy Festival 2025

Brisbane Comedy Festival is back with a packed line-up of festival favourites and fresh new faces, flocking to Brisbane for 5 huge weeks of laughs and live gigs, from Wednesday 23 April to Sunday 25 May, 2025.

Over 140 hilarious events will take place across 4 iconic venues: Brisbane Powerhouse, The Tivoli, The Fortitude Music Hall and The Princess Theatre, with a star-studded list of international and Aussie icons taking to the stage, alongside a side-splitting selection of theatre and performance comedians.

International headliners include Sara Pascoe, Ed Gamble, Rhys Darby, Melanie Bracewell, Guy Montgomery, Ray O'Leary and more! Plus, a hilarious line up of Aussie faves with stars such as Tommy Little, Jimeoin, Luke McGregor, Zoe Coombs Marr, 40 years of Bob Downe and fresh from the jungle - Geraldine Hickey providing bulk belly laughs.

Returning to the BCF stage are festival favourites Queerstories (April 26), featuring a stellar line-up of unexpected tales and stories of pride, prejudice, resilience, and Aboriginal Comedy All Stars (8-11 May), starring Australia’s premier First Nations comedians.

Australia’s leading female comedians will unite for a powerful afternoon of laughter and solidarity, supporting ActionAid’s mission to promote women’s rights worldwide in Frocking Hilarious (May 24), hosted by Claire Hooper.

Taking place every Saturday night at 9:30pm, After Hours will see a mix of special festival acts and top-tier local comedians for the the Festival’s late-night variety show.

Then on Sunday May 11, a stacked line up of comedy heavyweights and rising stars will take over the Tivoli for the BCF Showcase! The line up will be announced soon, so keep your eyes peeled to the BCF website and socials for more details.
