Green Heart Fair
Celebrating ten years of helping to create a clean and green Brisbane with free sustainability workshops and displays, artisan markets, kids’ entertainment and 2,000 free native plants, this year's fair is a fantastic day out for all ages.
The fair promotes innovative and easy sustainable living around the home and beyond to help lower your impact on the environment and lower your cost of living with more hands-on activities and demonstrations.
According to Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, "The Green Heart Fair has been helping residents create a more liveable community for a decade and, to celebrate, this year we’ll be welcoming sustainability warriors Craig Reucassel, from ABC’s War on Waste series and zero waste blogger Lindsay Miles."
Highlights of this year's fair include:
Take home one of 2000 free native plants which are being given away on a first-in, first-served basis.
Visit Rocky Point’s Grow Zone and learn how to keep bees at home and get your little ones involved with a hands-on workshop.
Learn how to create a green home and garden at the all day sessions from sustainability experts including Biome Eco Stores, Mallow Sustainability, Green Living Australia and Bee One Third.
Get inspired to reduce your waste at home at the Cleanaway Waste Zone which highlights ways to reduce waste for a more sustainable life. Kids and big kids alike will also be able to get up close with a garbage truck.
