NASA - A Human Adventure
Queensland Museum
Queensland Museum is making it easy for you to catch the final days of its NASA – A Human Adventure exhibition, by extending the opening hours until 8pm from September 30 to October 8.
Having delighted museum goers since its opening in March (think 50,000 visitors in the first month alone!), the space-themed exhibition must take off for good.
NASA – A Human Adventure is the world’s most comprehensive touring space flight exhibition, and features over 250 historically-significant artefacts from the United States and Soviet Union space programs.
Highlights of the exhibition include space-flown and moon-landed items, real rocket engines, space suits, and several full-scale replicas including the front section of NASA’s iconic Space Shuttle and Apollo space craft. Visitors will be fully immersed in the space travel story, starting with the dreamers who ignited a passion for travel to the stars, to the brilliant and brave pioneers who made trips into space a reality.
Minister for Science and Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch described the exhibition as “an example of some of humankind’s greatest achievements, with captivating stories and displays of engineering masterpieces that have changed the way we view the world”.
Nice to know – Discounted tickets are available to families, groups and Queensland Museum annual pass holders.
