Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said that previous winners of The QUBE Effect, which includes acts like Ney Ney and The Dandys, had gone on to receive record deals and major festival gigs. And this year's applicants even have a chance to win a paid gig at Splendour in the Grass!

“The QUBE Effect is a unique program that gives local talent the chance to make it in the music industry,” he said.

“It is focused on retaining local talent and encouraging artist development, by providing industry partnerships and mentoring. We encourage all young musicians to apply, and experience being the future of Brisbane’s music industry!”
