Stadium of Hope
Act for Kids is launching the Stadium of Hope during September, encouraging the community to come together for Child Protection Week.
All children deserve to be safe, happy, and loved. But sadly, every year, there’s between 45,000 and 50,000 confirmed cases of children in Australia who have experienced abuse and neglect. Just one child is one too many.
Act for Kids is asking the community to purchase their virtual seats and fill the Stadium of Hope in a united show of support.
Child protection is everyone’s business, and as a society, we must do more to urgently address the number of children experiencing maltreatment.
Queenslanders can help by purchasing a virtual seat for $10 each, with money raised going to Act for Kids, which delivers therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced or are at risk of harm.
When you take a seat in the Act for Kids virtual Stadium of Hope, you’re helping kids through a tough time, and giving them every chance to thrive.
Act for Kids’ teams of speech and language therapists, psychologists and occupational therapists work alongside each child so they can reach their full potential.
Working with children who have experienced abuse and neglect is complex, but the sooner we start helping, the more chance we can change a child’s life for the future.
