Kerry O'Brien In Conversation

Queensland Conservatorium

Join one of Australia’s most respected journalists, Kerry O’Brien, in conversation with journalist, author and commentator Madonna King on Monday, November 26 at Queensland Conservatorium.

Presented by Griffith University: Integrity 20, this special evening marks the launch of Kerry’s new memoir.

Hear this Walkley award-winning journalist reflect on the social and political upheavals he has witnessed during his fifty-year career; working for newspapers, television, a wire service, and as a foreign correspondent.

Thirty-three of those years were spent at the ABC on trailblazing current affairs programs This Day Tonight and Four Corners. He was the inaugural presenter of Lateline, the editor and presenter of 7.30 and presenter of Four Corners.

Kerry has specialised in national politics for the ABC, Seven and Ten television networks, and was a press secretary to Labor leader Gough Whitlam.

In Australia he has watched twelve prime ministers come and go, and has come face to face with some of the world’s most powerful people, – from Mandela to Thatcher, Obama and Muhammad Ali.

Nice to know - Kerry will be signing copies of his new memoir in the Conservatorium Foyer after the event.
