Lr Sushi

Brisbane

LR SUSHI HAS CLOSED.

This sushi shop may be so small that they have a door-girl to let three customers squeeze in at a time but you can’t miss it, what with the eternal queue parked out front and down to the street corner.

And whilst a crowd can be as much a sign of a sheep mentality as a good thing, in this case it’s definitely the latter. This place is sushi heaven as well as the cheapest lunch outlet in town. $2-$2.80 buys a burstingly fresh larger than average sushi roll with a choice of all manner of delicious fillings.

Here the California Roll takes a quiet back seat to kingfish, teriyaki ginger chicken, soft shell crab and cream cheese, tuna and sesame, honey pork and a countless range of other lip-smacking options.

All purchases come with complimentary mayonnaise, pickled ginger, wasabi and soy sauce and a squirt of thoughtfully provided hand gel.
