New Letters To Esterhazy Queensland Conservatorium

"New Letters To Esterhazy" is an intimate sonata of beautiful and evocative violin improvisations that depicts five imaginary letters from the artist in 21st century Australia sent back in time to Austrian musician Joseph Haydn in the 18th century Austro-Hungarian court of Esterhazy. The music is full of sunlight, appreciation and hope, yet tenderly handles moments of despair, the winter darkness, and delicate new growth with great compassion.

"Guenther’s seamless, mood-shifting, jaw-drop-inspiring improvisations communicated beyond chronological time.... His unique painting of sentiment, concerns and cultural contrasts from our time reach us with a much needed freshness in the concert format.” - Paul Nolan, Sydney Arts Guide
