RMXTV
Museum of Brisbane
Experience a live art remix as a group of artists test their creative agility in RMXTV at Museum of Brisbane from May 7-30, 2021.
A highlight event of Brisbane Art Design (BAD), RMXTV is the latest in the RMX series of collaborative art projects exploring the creative potential of chaos and chance.
Over the course of three weeks, selected RMXTV participants will draw and paint on a large purpose-built environment guided by a series of prompts delivered via the big screen. Along the way the participants will discover new ideas, explore unknown processes and learn to harness the power of the unexpected.
Guided by the host Steve Alexander, artists will work alone or in small groups, layering their efforts over the last, creating an ever-changing collaborative artwork. Day after day, audiences can witness the space being modified, added to and erased.
Visitors are asked to bring a sketchbook or an iPad to follow along with the prompts, or try remixing for themselves with the STICKRMX interactive sticker activity. No matter their age or perceived drawing abilities, the audience are asked to take a risk and bring excitement back into making art!
RMXTV is a Museum of Brisbane Artist in Residence project, supported by Tim Fairfax AC
