Sometimes It's Hot Like the Sun
Fortitude Valley
Sometimes It's Hot Like the Sun is a post-apocalyptic love song to humanity, being performed at Elements Collective in Fortitude Valley from Nov 12-14, 2021.
Directed by Zed Hopkins and Karina White, the show is a bubbling exploration of humanity, re-framing an environmental crisis to explore femininity at the end of the world.
Produced by Imperfect Creatives, Sometimes It's Hot Like The Sun is a ruckus that celebrates the hilarity and chaos of the human experience by investigating how we understand our personal and shared identities in a world on the brink of collapse.
This contemporary piece of Australian theatre was written by Brisbane playwrights, Madeleine Border and Honor Webster-Mannison, before being published by Playlab in 2020.
Good to know - This production is 100% independently funded with a crowdfunding campaign currently running through the Australian Cultural Fund; all donations are tax deductible.
