Christmas-themed Tiny Doors

Brisbane CBD

Eye-spy with my little eye, something that looks like Christmas is just around the corner! Or, at the base of a wall, or perhaps beside a busy doorway.

Commissioned by Brisbane City Council, and sprinkled around the Brisbane CBD are the newest tiny door creations beautifully crafted by our favourite guerilla artist, Mace Robertson, with each fairy door celebrating the upcoming arrival of the man in the big red suit.

Discover the enchanting, Christmas-themed tiny doors for yourself next time you’re exploring the Brisbane CBD. But hurry! Just like Santa, they won’t be visiting for long!

Giving off the best of Queensland summer vibes, the Burnett Lane tiny door is hand-painted with Santa lazing back at the beach, ready for a picnic and what may be a well-earnt Boxing Day swim.

ELIZABETH STREET

How adorable is this stone and timber cabin?! With an earthy, grassed roof and a stack of timber for the fireplace at the ready, this Alpine-inspired tiny door would look right at home at the North Pole. Sure hope that mistletoe brings with it a Christmas kiss or two to the residents.

MacARTHUR CENTRAL

OK people! We’ve found Santa’s Workshop! And it’s open for business! The craftsmanship is outstanding on this tiny door, with timber roof shingles and decorative trusses. And, being where Santa’s helpers are toiling hard inside getting ready for Christmas eve deliveries, we don’t suggest you interrupt them.

Perfectly positioned out of the way, but still close enough to keep an eye on the magnificent Lord Mayor’s Christmas Tree at King George Square, this gorgeous toy shop tiny door sports it’s very own decorated Christmas tree. Too cute!

Launched on December 1, there were originally five beautiful tiny doors in the Christmas Edition, but sadly, one was stolen after only a day of being installed. If it gets replaced, we'll be sure to let you know.

If only whoever took it thought about keeping themselves off the naughty list, and taking only photos!
