Medieval Tiny Door

Fish Lane

There's a new kid on the lane! Popular dining precinct, Fish Lane, is home to this stylish miniature door that looks like it would be right at home on a medieval castle.

Located across from Saccharomyces Beer Cafe, this tiny fairy door is the work of Mace Robertson – a talented artist who is the genius behind many of Brisbane’s small doors.

Beneath a rendered, arched entry sporting a perfectly positioned expressed keystone, the impressive oak battened door gives a solid nod to the era with the detailing of fixed pyramid clavos (nails) and door handles that are beckoning to be knocked.

All sitting above the semi-circular stone steps that encircle the door, it’s not hard to imagine a giant parandrus, yale or even a dragon tethered to the hitching rings in a time long forgotten.
