California Lane is funky hidden laneway in Fortitude Valley. Named after California Café, a Brisbane institution that stood on the corner of Brunswick and McLachlan Streets for more than forty years, the legacy lives on with cool laneway destination.
California Lane has a relaxed, West Coast vibe – think palm trees, pastel walls and pink flamingos – with plenty of al fresco dining space.
Residents of the lane include King Tiki (which is a combo of laneway tiki lounge and a barbershop opening onto Brunswick St), some one of Brisbane's oldest restaurants Giardinetto's, plus Reverends Fine Coffee, and the popular Fat Dumpling, Froth on Brunswick and Raw + Rice, just to name a few.
