Charles Baker Donuts & Coffee
Eight Mile Plains
Charles Baker Donuts & Coffee at Eight Mile Plains is a unique drive-by donut bakery and coffee hut that has its roots in 153 year history of The Glen Hotel.
First built in 1863 by publican Charles Baker, The Glen Hotel (then The Baker Hotel) was first licensed and opened for trade in 1865. Since 1875 it has been a landmark stopover for weary, thirsty and hungry travellers on the Cobb and Co route and now, once again patrons can make a refuel stop for sweet treats and a pick-me-up coffee.

Made fresh on-site daily, the delicious donuts come in three flavours: cinnamon, strawberry jam and Nutella and can be ordered single (for $3.50) or 3 for $10, 6 for $18 and 12 for $34.00*.

To accompany there’s well-brewed coffee in various forms can be enjoyed either at the little garden courtyard seating under umbrellas, drive through to order or pick up and takeaway.

Need to know – There’s plenty of room for larger vehicles to drive in and ample free parking onsite. The Glen Hotel stands on the corner of Logan Rd and Gaskell Street and the entry driveway is just off Gaskell St. Patrons can also text their order ahead of arrival to: 0484 243 489
Nice to know – The Cobb and Co horses used to drink from the nearby creek while the Cobb&Co stage coach drivers enjoyed a cold beer and a meal.
