Sugar Creek Smokehouse

Eagleby

Sugar Creek Smokehouse on Brisbane's southside is serving up authentic Texas-style smoked meat along with local craft beer.

A tasty selection of mouth-watering meat is smoked on-site daily at this shipping container smokehouse, located at the entrance to Kiwanda Cafe and yet-to-open Distillery Road Market in Eagleby, with tables and chairs spilling out onto a patch of astro turf.

Customers can get their fix of BBQ with baby back ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket or both (brisket and pulled pork) if they order the Double Barrel, or bring on the meat sweats with the Mega Meat Plate piled with brisket, pulled pork, half or full rack of ribs, served with spicy slaw and fries.

Juicy burgers include Stetched Pig, Brisket! Baby, Need a Napkin? (sliced brisket with mac n' cheese) and a classic American Sloppy Joe - savoury mince (made using a secret family recipe) served on a fresh, soft bun with cheese and pickles.

Tasty sides range from spicy slaw and smoked mac n' cheese, to Boston baked beans and French fries. If you want your fries with a side of barbecue, try Sugar Creek's Filthy Fries topped with smoked meat trimmings, brisket gravy and liquid cheddar.

Wash it all down with a can of cold, craft beer or refreshing soft drink.
