Marble Korean Steakhouse will bring a hot new elevated dining experience to Portside Wharf in March, offering an interactive, high-end take on Korean BBQ that blends the rich flavours of Seoul with modern steakhouse sophistication.

With a sleek, industrial-inspired interior, moody lighting, a cocktail bar with edge, and music that hums with energy, Marble Korean Steakhouse exudes an atmosphere that is a match for the contemporary food.

Here all details are considered, from the way your steak sizzles on the smokeless grill to the perfectly paired wine. At every table, cutting-edge smokeless grills, imported directly from Japan, whisk away any trace of haze, ensuring the spotlight remains on the food, a cornerstone of Marble’s reimagined approach to the BBQ experience.

The menu takes its cues from traditional Korean cuisine, celebrating the purity of raw ingredients while offering a modern twist. Vibrant pickled vegetables, house-made sauces, and top-tier cuts of meat take centre stage, served with the precision of a Michelin-calibre steakhouse.

Then there’s the wine flight program—a carefully curated selection of 75ml wine pairings matched to each cut of meat, taking the guesswork out of the perfect pour.

According to co-founder Vanessa Devine, who runs the restaurant alongside her chef-husband, Simon Kang, a culinary expert trained in Korea’s high-pressure kitchens. “We’ve taken what people love about Korean BBQ and given it a fresh, modern edge."

“Instead of the usual thinly sliced meats and self-service setup, we focus on premium cuts of high-grade meat and guide diners through the process. It’s about creating an experience where people feel confident, excited, and indulged,” Mr Kang said.
