Hidden World

Fitzgibbon

This unique fantastical playground, the creation of artist Russell Anderson, features a series of interconnected rainbow coloured ‘houses’ built on sand and is ideally suited to toddlers and preschoolers (although older kids will get a kick out of the design).

Hidden World Playground

As well as clambering from one house to another, which can occupy them for hours, there are plenty of other distractions to be found in the sandpits surrounding as well as an in-ground lawn maze to one side.

Set well back from the road in the depths of suburbia, added bonuses include plenty of parking, plenty of open space surrounding, picnic shelters and a clean modern amenities block.

Hidden World Playground

Despite its location in what may be unfamiliar territory to most, it’s not hard to find – look for the ‘Hidden World’ signpost at the intersection of Handford Rd & Roghan Rd. About 500m along the latter it appears like a psychedelic mirage on the right. And it is well worth a trip away from the everyday.
