Ginger & Lime Café

Birkdale

Ginger & Lime is Redland's little secret, a cute café tucked away on Birkdale Road in the bayside suburb serving top-notch food, well-brewed Di Bella coffee and West End Tea.

Open daily for breakfast and lunch, Ginger and Lime offers indoor and outdoor dining with modern décor including sleek, blonde timber furniture.

Breakfast fare includes classics like bacon and eggs on sourdough and eggs benedict with bacon or salmon, healthy options such as vege breakfast bowls with beetroot, sweet potato, avocado, almonds, brown rice, lentils and cherry tomatoes, and green eggs and ham omelettes with blistered tomatoes, and deliciously decadent brioche French toast with caramelised bananas and bacon or golden waffles topped with apple crumble and vanilla ice cream.

Lunch consists of fan favourites like BLTs, burgers (beef, Cajun chicken and pulled pork), beer battered fish and crumbed calamari served with chips; with fresh salads rounding out the menu, such as Caesar and Thai beef.

Kids can select soft-boiled egg and soldiers, mini bacon and egg bagels or waffle with fresh fruit and ice-cream for breaky; and mini cheese burgers, grilled chicken wraps or chicken nuggets and chips for lunch.

Besides tea and coffee, there are house-brewed sparkling iced teas, fresh juices, classic milkshakes (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and caramel) and smoothies like pina colada, PB&J, mango and mixed berry and bananarama.

Need to know - The kitchen is open 7am-2pm.
