Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens

Eagle Heights

Updated: Sep 30, 2020

Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens is a hidden treasure atop Mount Tamborine, developed in 1983 by volunteers and maintained by members of the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club.

Tucked away behind the busy tourist strip, Gallery Walk, the gardens provide peace and tranquillity. Open daily during daylight hours all year round, entry is free.

Set on 11 hectares, the gardens boast both native and exotic flora which can be viewed from walkways looping around the central lake. Cross the little stone bridge, wander through Wisteria Way and into the Japanese Garden.

Then stroll through the camelia, magnolia and maple gardens, or take a walk along Sooty Owl's Creekside Trail especially created for kids. This delightful garden grotto includes a working water wheel, swinging bridge and Sooty Owl B&B.
