Bounding into Brisbane for the first time on November 4-5, 2017, and taking over the Brisbane Showgrounds is the much-awaited Dog Lovers Show.

With over 40% of Queenslanders reportedly having a fur-baby or two in the house, organisers have made certain that it is jam-packed with plenty of poochy paawfection to see and do across this 2-day event.

Celebrities headlining the event will be popular Australian TV and practicing vets, Dr Chris Brown and Dr Katrina Warren. Peta Clarke, renowned Hollywood animal trainer will also be delighting the crowds with her Star Pooches when they take to the Kong Celebrity Vet Stage. The entertainment and demonstrations across the weekend will also include appearances by 4 Paws Racing Team with their UpDog Challenge, the K9 Weave Pole Sprint Challenge and Dr Warren's Wonderdogs. In honour of our armed forces and peacekeepers, a moving inclusion will be the Australian Military Working Dogs, with Nigel Allsopp, a war veteran and current Queensland Police Dog Handler, walking us through the history of four-legged heroes.

If you're looking for your forever four-legged BFF, or the kids have been hounding you to get another pooch, this will be a must-do event for you. The Rescue Dog Zone provides the chance to chat with a great range of shelters and animal welfare groups, as well as being able to meet some pups who are looking for their forever family.

More than 40 Dog Breed Clubs will take part in the Breed Showcase, giving visitors the chance to speak to trusted experts before making the decision on their next four-legged household member. In fact, the Dog Lovers Show will have more than 150 exhibitors on hand to chat to, showcasing everything that dog-owners need and more.

With the meteoric rise of photogenic pooches streaming across social media, the Dog Lovers Show is introducing a fun and interactive Insta-Pooch Zone. Here, you will get to meet some our state's most notable and plucky canine Instagram stars, and even grab a selfie with them!

The kids can enjoy having their faces painted to look like their favourite pups, and they won't want to miss out on the Pat-A-Pooch Zone and the Perfect Match Zone to see which fur-kid breed would blend in best at home.

Nice to know - Some of Brissie's best food trucks will be dishing up the fantastic fare they're well known for at the show, keeping dog-lovers fueled-up and as happy as dog with a ball.

Nice to know - Tickets are discounted up to 20% if you purchase them online before you go, rather than at the gate.
