YES PLEASE FILIPINO HAS MOVED TO KANGAROO POINT IN 2020 & AWAITS A NEW REVIEW.

Yes Please is a home-style Filipino restaurant, serving up a range of delectable dishes inspired by the owner’s Filipino home kitchen.

The restaurant is fairly easy to find, just behind the Gabba on bustling Vulture Street. With an expansive interior, the restaurant is decorated with red walls and touches of Filipino tradition. There are tables inside and outside the restaurant, with room for large groups or intimate dining for two.

The menu is abundant with bona fide Filipino dishes, as well as a few Western inspired meals – such as seasoned fries. Start your Filipino dining experience with Lumpia Shanghai, otherwise known as deep fried crispy pork spring rolls served with sweet chilli sauce. Alongside a serving of the Pork BBQ, which is Filipino marinated and grilled pork skewers.

For mains, sink your teeth into their Pancit, a stir-fried noodle dish abundant with vegetables, cubed pork and prawns. Or, try their Sisig which is served on a sizzling plate, the dish is diced pork, topped with egg, sautéed with onion, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice and spices.

Fancy a few sides? Order their grilled sweetcorn and seasoned fries which are served with your choice of preferred seasoning. Their BBQ seasoning is a definite must do.

Don’t go past their dessert menu either, featuring a few Filipino favourites such as the Leche Flan and Halo Halo, which is a shaved ice dessert with sweet beans, leche flan, coconut gel and evaporated milk with a scoop of ice cream.

There is a selection of soft drinks available in the fridge, as well as iced tea and bottled water.

Need to know – Centre parking is available. BYO wine and beer.

Nice to know –  It is also a takeaway restaurant.
