La Stazione Pizzeria And Bar
Milton
LA STAZIONE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
La Stazione is cooking up an assortment of bona fide Italian food to the lucky locals of Milton, with a significant focus on share plates.
The ambient and open restaurant is inclusive of al fresco and indoor dining, as well as bar seating for those hoping to enjoy a casual drink and/or snack. Industrial style décor is used throughout with an abundance of wooden features, cast iron finishings and pendant lighting.
The menu is simplified into share plates, large plates, pizza, pasta, dessert and a kid’s menu. The share plates are a great place to start; they can be enjoyed as side dishes or of course, share dishes. The Polpo is a delightful choice, inclusive of braised octopus tentacles, potato puree and smoked paprika.
A Caprese Salad is a popular order as a side dish or in a mix of share plates, featuring heirloom tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and EVOO. It goes down well with one of their delicious, fresh pizzas such as the Parma, a simple yet delicious choice.
La Stazione certainly knows how to impress when serving up their risotto, as it is tossed within a pecorino cheese wheel at your table. The tasty dish is loaded with mixed forest mushrooms, truffle and of course, the cheese from the wheel.
Similarly, the Gnocconi Della Casagnocchi is an impressive dish, featuring four gnocchi stuffed with goat’s cheese and chives, served with chunky veal ragu and pecorino cheese.
If you’re opting for a larger plate consider the Porchetta, a crispy skin pork belly roulade served with apple chutney, a bed of spinach and a red wine jus. This goes perfectly with the Italian wine, Chianti.
Italian’s know dessert and they sure do know it well. Tuck into La Stazione’s Nutella Pannacotta and you’ll see what we mean.
Perhaps a dessert beverage takes your fancy instead – sip on the La Stazione espresso martini, it’s got a spicy twist.
Other delicious cocktails adorn their menu, such as the La Stazione. The bartenders are great at developing drinks on the spot as well – such as this basil inspired gin beverage.
Need to know – Nearby street parking is available.
