La Pinsa

Paddington

La Pinsa is cooking up delicious, authentic Roman ‘pinsa’ (pizza) in the back streets of historic Paddington.

The bona fide Italian restaurant is located on the corner of Kennedy Terrace, with a traditional European al fresco dining space, as well as a few indoor tables. The Italian décor feels like you’re roaming the streets of Italy, with red detailing and window decals.

Do you think you’ve eaten Italian pizza? La Pinsa begs to differ, unless you have tucked into one of theirs; made with modern ingredients but with a recipe that dates back to the Ancient Roman Empire.

The dough they use is (of course a secret recipe) but it is organic and GMO free – creating a satisfying light feel to their base. The Fichi & Caprino is a delectable choice, topped with mozzarella, fresh figs, red onion, rocket, goats cheese and vincotto.

La Pinsa also creates homemade pasta dishes, salads and bruschetta. The Norcina is a favourite amongst staff – made with your choice of pasta and mixed with fresh cream, wild mushrooms, black truffle, parmesan, garlic and parsley.

Naturally, La Pinsa makes delicious desserts, all made with respect to authentic Italian tradition. Their Tiramisu Classico is the owner’s nonna’s recipe made with mascarpone and savoiardi.

The Cannolo Siciliano is another delicious sweet, filled with buffalo ricotta, custard and chocolate chips. Tap beers and Italian wine are available.

Need to know – Street parking is available. The menu is available takeaway.
