FELIX AND AMOR CAFE IN CAPALABA HAS CLOSED.
Felix and Amor is a quaint Capalaba café dishing up traditional Filipino fare for breakfast, lunch and dessert.
Located on Old Cleveland Road, this charming little café provides dining al fresco on its petite patio and dining inside the café furnished with vintage tables, chairs and knick-knacks.
The all-day breakfast menu includes Australian classics like smashed avocado and feta on sourdough, bacon and eggs and omelettes; while popular Filipino breakfast fare (designed to share for 2-3 people) ranges from tapsilog (beef marinated in soy sauce, lemon and special spices served with garlic rice and baby spinach omelette) and longsilog (Filipino pork sausages served with fried eggs, garlic rice and house made papaya pickles) to bangsilog (milkfish marinated in vinegar, peppercorn and garlic served with garlic rice and crunchy greens).
Lunch time fare includes burgers –cheeseburger, gourmet steak burger, chicken burger, and crispy pork belly burger – and Filipino dishes such as adobo (marinated chicken or pork served with rice and salad), pansit (rice noodle stir fry with meat and veges), and kare kare (vegetable and oxtail stew in a thick peanut sauce).
Sweets tooths can try traditional desserts from the Philippines such as banana que (fried banana skewers), banana turon (banana spring rolls) and halo-halo (shaved ice sweetened with evaporated milk, served with coconut, sago, fruit and jelly).
Drink wise there’s coffee, hot chocolate, chai, tea, specialty lattes (turmeric or ginger) and milkshakes.
