ANDANA AND CO IS CURRENTLY CLOSED AFTER A FIRE IN DECEMBER 2019.
Andana and Co is a stylish contemporary café, patisserie and deli in Balmoral with a distinctly European flavour.
Perched on the corner of Riding Road and Victoria Street, with plenty of undercover seating options, Andana is a family affair owned by husband and wife, Tina and Stephen Stavrou.
The menu is a mixture of Italian classics (Tina’s background) and Greek favourites (Stephen’s); while delectable pastries are prepared daily by their French pastry chef; from yummy macarons to raspberry tarts and their signature Andana dessert - chocolate sponge with milk chocolate and coffee ganache, and espresso mousse.
Breakfast fare ranges from avocado with haloumi, blistered tomatoes, dukkah and poached egg, to breakfast bruschetta with confit tomatoes, prosciutto, basil pesto and poached egg, and scrumptious pancakes with ricotta, grilled banana and maple pearls.
Lunch options to try include The Stavro wagyu beef burger with onion jam, cheddar cheese, brie and horseradish cream served with fries, chicken risotto with olives, tomatoes, blue cheese and rosemary cream, and the highly-recommend calamari served with Greek salad and harissa aioli.
Drinks on offer include top-notch espresso roasted exclusively for Andana, Elements Tea, old fashioned milkshakes and homemade sodas such as strawberry and basil, gingerbread and orange, and old skool lemonade.
Child-friendly, there’s a menu just for kids with Elephant Tracks (poached egg, bacon and toast), Peek A Boo (fried egg on toast) and Hocus Pocus (muesli, yoghurt and fresh berries) for breakfast; while lunch options consist of Very Hungry Caterpillar pasta with Napoli sauce, and Chicken Little fried chicken and chips.
