Christmas Actually

Roundhouse Theatre

The iconic music of Love Actually will be showcased live on stage when Christmas Actually returns to La Boite Roundhouse Theatre from 27 November - 7 December.

An instant hit when it debuted at La Boite in 2018, Christmas Actually is led by Queensland screen and stage star Naomi Price (The Voice Australia, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical). Along with a talented cast of singers and musicians, Price will re-live the soundtrack of the 2003 festive flick, including hits by such superstars as Mariah Carey, The Beach Boys, Norah Jones and The Beatles.

Joining Price on stage will be her Beautiful castmate Stefanie Caccamo, plus fellow The Voice Australia alums Luke Kennedy and Tom Oliver, in a production packed full of powerhouse performances.

Christmas Actually La Boite

“Everyone has their feature moment to showcase their own amazing vocal and musical abilities,” Price said. “In the film, there are 10 different love stories. So of course, in our concert version, we had to highlight a beautiful combination of multiple different voices and instrumentalists.”

And in case you were wondering, Price, like all true fans, can recall a favourite Love Actually moment. “No-one can ever forget Emma Thompson crying to Joni Mitchell’s ‘Both Sides Now’ before her kids’ nativity play. That, to me, is a really beautiful moment.”

Nice to know - Following its La Boite season, Christmas Actually heads off to wow Sydneysiders via a six-show run at the Sydney Opera House.
