Ipswich in Miniature will see some of the most spectacular heritage buildings in Ipswich coming to The Workshops Rail Museum in miniature from 28 August – 17 October, 2021.*

Some of the exquisite tiny creations include famous drapers Cribb and Foote, CJ Vogler, the Federal Hotel (circa 1907) and Jack Wilson Bakery (circa 1876) and Reid & T.Greig Cash Grocers.

Anyone who is fascinated by the city of Ipswich, its heritage, history and architecture, won’t want to miss this delightful exhibition, which is the work of Ipswich Mini Crafters.

Along with the loads of historic buildings painstakingly re-created by the Ipswich Mini Crafters team, Picture Ipswich Collection is providing historical images that tell more of the story.

Tickets to the Ipswich in Miniature event include entry to the Museum and all exhibits so why not make a day of it and explore all that the Museum has to offer.

While there, visitors can explore 15 larger-than-life exhibits, get up close to locos and vintage carriages, drive a train simulator and spark their curiosity in the Sciencentre.

Good to know - Trackside Café opens at 9:30am serving hot and cold food and drinks. here you can linger longer over lunch and allow the kids to run around and let off steam.

*Note that the exhibition's original start date of August 14 has been postponed until August 28 due to the recent COVID-19 lockdown.
