Veneziano Coffee

West End

Updated: Mar 09, 2022

Veneziano Coffee in West End has reopened with a fresh new look and a tantalising new brunch menu.

Caffeinating West End locals for more than a decade, the coffee institution on Montague Road has been given a new lick of paint and more, transforming the cafe into a bright and airy space with an all-white palette, vaulted ceilings, timber chairs and marble-topped tables, and pops of greenery.

In addition, a full kitchen has been added allowing the cafe to dish up delicious all-day brunch fare as well as a handful of lunch options including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free fare.

The all-day menu  ranges from the quintessential Breakfast Burger (maple glazed bacon, Swiss cheese and fried egg) and Smashed Avocado with cashew cream cheese, pickled green tomatoes and fresh mint, to the Montague Benedict (poached eggs, zucchini fritters and citrus hollandaise) and Crab Omelette served with sweet and sour papaya salad.

Sweet tooths can tuck into Brioche French Toast with chai spiced roasted apple, candied walnuts and vanilla, or choose something sweet from the cake cabinet.

Lunch-type offerings (served from 11am) include a Tofu & Black Bean Burrito, Wagyu Beef Burger, and Rosters' Lunch - shaved smoked ham, vintage cheddar, heirloom beetroots, pickled baby onions, grilled stone fruits, seeded mustard and sourdough.

Dine inside the slick cafe overlooking the roastery or outdoors on the deck equipped with umbrellas for shade.

Coffee aficionados are spoilt for chose with milk based, espresso and filter coffee. Besides coffee, there's hot chocolate, chai, Chamellia organic teas, milkshakes, smoothies, cold pressed OJ, and the cafe's signature Gingerbread Iced Latte - house made spiced treacle syrup, oat milk and ice.
