Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments

Fortitude Valley

Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments is Brisbane’s best kept secret – a stunning boutique apartment hotel in a fantastic Fortitude Valley location, that is awash with understated designer luxury.

The famous Australian designer from whom the hotel takes its name has his exquisite taste visible in everything from the top of the range luxe toiletries to the arm chairs, bed linen, artworks, tapware and the sleek cabinetry.

If the gorgeous minimalist apartments (Studio, 1 & 2 br), which feature Neff appliances, stone benchtops, state of the art bathrooms and furnishings, aren’t a good enough reason to stay here, then the rooftop and its facilities should be.

For up on the roof (12th floor) is an exclusive recreation and dining terrace featuring lap pool from which swimmers can enjoy sweeping 180 degree views of the city, Story Bridge, Toohey Mountain and the Valley, a BBQ pavilion with 2 BBQs for guest use and a patch of astroturf with patio furniture from where guests can BYO drinks and nibbles and enjoy the sweeping vistas and amenity of their own private ‘rooftop bar’. For those who have been to popular nearby Maya Mexican Bar, imagine it’s something like this, just without the crowds and with BYO drinks and food.

Also on this level is a mini gym with views out over Bowen Hills and to the west, with a small range of cardio equipment.

And if you can drag yourself away from the rooftop and the apartment, Alex Perry Hotel quietly boasts one of the best locations in the Valley. Across the road is the Emporium and, around the corner on Chester St are Nodo Donuts and hip local watering hole, Hello Gorgeous. And just two short blocks away is the James St boutique fashion and dining precinct.

Tip – While Alex Perry Hotel is in the epicentre of hip Fortitude Valley bars and dining, recommended is a rooftop BBQ and sunset drinks on the roof. Either stock up with gourmet goodies at nearby James St (not cheap but delicious!) or BYO supplies. Check with staff at check in to ensure availability and they will bring utensils up at allotted time.

Need to know - Valet parking is available for $25 per day and needs to be reserved ahead of the stay. Wi-fi is available at a cost of $10 per day. Both of these are complimentary if staying in an Executive apartment. A special hotel car service is available for airport transfers.

Nice to know – All apartments have HD/LED Smart TV with 40+-90+ channel entertainment package, workstation and internal laundry. In-house styling products include ghd Air Professional hair dryer, Classic V steam styler and personal Garment Steamer.

Must Do’s Nearby – Gerards Bistro, Nodo Donuts, Tinderbox, Tartufo, Za Za Ta, Hellenika, Cru Bar, Saiko Teppanyaki, Teneriffe Park, Gerards Bar, Jocelyn’s Provisions, Seoul Ssam, At Sixes & Sevens and Pottery Barn.
