Sue's Burgers and Shakes

Sue's Burgers and Shakes is a sleek retro American diner-inspired burger bar located underneath Angelika Cinemas at Woolloongabba's South City Square. 

The spacious high-ceilinged diner features black and white checked floors and a mix of pale blue and white vinyl booths and red and white 1950s style dining chairs, with also some seating outside on the covered terrace.

On the menu are a decadent range of juicy beef burgers. including Sue's classic (freshly ground brisket & chuck blend patty, onion, American cheese & Sue's signature sauce on a toasty potato bun); and truffle cheeseburger (freshly ground brisket & chuck blend patty, lettuce, tomatot, smashed onions, trufffle mayo & mozarella on toasty potato bun).

Chicken burgers include Southern fried chicken or Nashville hot chicken with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and house aioli on a toasty potato bun; while vegie burgers include a plant-based patty with American or vegan cheese on a toasty potato or vegan gluten free bun as well as a bun-less burger.

From the range of loaded fries (almost a meal in themselves) there's cheese & bacon, loaded maple or burger fries. Meanwhile other sides include onion rings, chilli and hot chilli mozzarella sticks, served with a house made French onion dip.

But for a real treat order the Raising Dave's Tik Tok famous burger (3 x Chef Dave's famous Southern fried chicken tenders, Dave's sauce, cheese & pickles on a toasty potato bun with a small pot of Dave's sauce).

Must-try are the ice-cream shakes, which come in flavours of Nutella, Oreo cookies'n'cream, peanut butter, Malteser; dulce de leche or crunchy biscoff.

Need to know - There is an onsite secure undercover carpark (entry off Deshon St) with free parking for up to five hours.
