Umu Kitchen is a charming, child-friendly and dog-friendly café found on a street corner in the lovely, leafy suburb of Tarragindi.

Formerly known as Leaf Espresso, this popular coffee haunt provides ample seating inside and outside with additional dining on a diminutive deck at the rear.

The all-day menu features breakfast staples like bacon and eggs and avocado on toast, plus pancakes with lemon curd, meringue, toasted coconut and seasonal fruit, and Polynesian plates piled with honey baked ham, spinach, roast tomato, cassava gnocchi, poached eggs and coconaise.

Lunch-type dishes include wholesome nourish bowls of roast pumpkin, dengaku nasu, quinoa, kimchi, charred corn and greens with ginger lime dressing, chicken burgers topped with pineapple and bacon, and bangers and mash.

Customers can enjoy a well-brewed cup of coffee, roasted locally by Parallel Roasters, accompanied by a delicious house made sweet treat.
