Regal Twin Cinema

Graceville

Updated: Mar 08, 2025

The Regal Twin, the last of Brisbane’s twin cinemas, occupies the site of the original open air theatre called Graceville Picture Gardens which prevailed during the silent movie era until a ‘proper’ movie theatre was built in the 1930’s and renamed the Regal in 1953 to coincide with Queen Elizabeth’s coronation.

Today it keeps the movie tradition alive as the quaint little arthouse pair of cinemas in the middle of Graceville Village, screening the finest selection of Australian, British and foreign films.
