Mt Nebo

Mt Nebo Railway Carriage And Chalet is a 1920's vintage Queensland Rail carriage which has been charmingly converted into unique accommodation for two and sits nestled in a beautiful six acre Mt Nebo property, along with a rustic cosy chalet that can also accommodate two.

Located just 40 minutes from Brisbane CBD, the railway carriage and chalet both make for a unique and easy overnight escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by nature and beautiful bush walks.

The beautifully restored railway carriage, which was built at the Ipswich Railway Workshops and bought in 1989 and lovingly restored by the owner, features a double bedroom, ensuite, aircon, TV and DVD player as well as a kitchen with cooktop and microwave and a covered balcony with gas BBQ.

The refurbished chalet, which was originally a farm produce packing shed, has a queen bed, separate kitchen and dining area, gas cooktop, microwave, fridge and TV, with a gas BBQ outside on the covered verandah.

Guests of the railway carriage and chalet have access to a complimentary wood-fired BBQ, which is tucked away on the property next to the lily pad-covered dam.
