Little Bloomfield Cafe & Wine Bar
Cleveland
Little Bloomfield Café & Wine Bar, found at the quiet end of Clevelands' Bloomfield Street beside the library, is café by day and cosy wine bar on Saturday nights serving share plates, cheese and charcuterie boards, beer, wine and cocktails.
The modern décor is tropical-inspired with leafy wallpaper, rattan chairs and wicker lamp shades. Dine inside in cosy surrounds or al fresco on the small balcony or large courtyard beneath the fig tree.
Open daily*, breakfast - served until 11 - includes favourites like house granola with crunchy nuts, seeds, mixed berries and your chose of natural or coconut yoghurt, smashed avo with feta, balsamic and charred lemon served on toasted Turkish, and Little Bloomfield’s Big Breaky of bacon, chorizo, eggs, roasted tomatoes, field mushrooms and baked beans.
Lunch-time fare ranges from homemade beef burgers with melted cheese, tomato relish, spinach and pickles, juicy chicken breast burgers with smoky bacon, avocado, spinach and house made aioli, and pulled pork wraps with house slaw, spinach, aioli and barbecue sauce served with a side of sweet potato fries.
On Saturday nights, customers can sip champagne while enjoying marinated olives and artisan breads, cheese and charcuterie (which changes weekly) and share plates like lightly coated calamari, pulled pork tacos or mushroom and truffle arancini.
Drink wise, Merlo coffee is served alongside T2 tea, cold pressed juices and smoothies. The bar is stocked with domestic and imported beer (Corona and Peroni) and predominantly Australian red and white wines. Otherwise, there’s French champagne and classic cocktails like espresso martinis, mojitos, cosmopolitans and mango and strawberry daiquiris.
Child-friendly, the menu for littlies includes egg on toast with bacon and hash brown, fluffy pancakes with fruit and fresh cream for breakfast; while lunch options consist of crumbed whiting with sweet potato chips, ham and cheese toasties and grilled chicken wraps.
