Camerata: Celestial Choral Baroque
Concert Hall, QPAC
Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra unites with one of Australia’s newest Brisbane-based choirs, One Equal Music for Camerata’s closing 2025 mainstage concert, Celestial Choral Baroque, at the Concert Hall, QPAC on Novermber 20.
Experience this ethereal, spine-tingling concert of music that is both thrilling and achingly beautiful, with Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo’s ethereal The Spheres setting the tone for the emotional power of the music that follows.
That music includes the majestic orchestral suite by Classical music’s greatest hero, Bach, and later in the program one of his own inspirations, Vivaldi, in the iconic Gloria.

What better way to make music than a plea for peace as you’ll hear in Peteris Vask’s Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace), and a particularly striking moment will surely be in Erik Esenvalds’ Stars, that puts voices together with glass harmonics.
As usual, Camerata will be completely unconducted and concert-goers can join Camerata in the foyer after the show to meet the musicians and have a chat.
