Camerata: Your Eternal Memories

Concert Hall, QPAC

Updated: Jan 09, 2025

Tell Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra your eternal memory and they’ll match music that speaks to your stories at the Concert Hall, QPAC on Saturday, September 13.

Music is the soundtrack to our lives, featuring in life’s most significant moments. Music triggers memories – but what if we turn that around? What memories spark what sort of music?

This year Camerata wants to highlight YOUR stories, live on stage. On the theme, “Eternal Memory”, inspired by John Tavener’s Eternal Memory for Cello and Strings, share with them your eternal or special memories and allow Camerata to curate a concert of music inspired by you.

Was there a time when you were truly uplifted, and it has always stayed with you? Was there a memory you’ve held onto after someone special left? Is it a moment from the most exciting and wonderful day of your life? Or was it a hilarious highlight that you will always treasure?

Camerata will also be joined by distinguished Australian actor and long term Camerata collaborator, Barbara Lowing, to narrate the concert.

Eternal memories, words, and music will seamlessly weave together in this special concert as part of Brisbane Festival that is sure to be moving, nostalgic, and hopefully, a little bit funny.

Good to know - As always, concert-goers can join Camerata in the foyer after the show to meet the musicians and have a chat.

Need to know - Tickets from $69*. Transaction fees apply. Discount available for Students, Children, Under 35s and Families.
