Grinstead Park
Alderley
The main drawcard of this park is the well equipped playground for children of all ages that comes surrounded by grassy fields, bike paths and plentiful eating nooks.
A substantial timber fortress with offshoots of bridges slides and tunnels forms the play centrepiece, supplemented by a half basketball court and rebound wall for the too-cool-to-climb set.
But this park is not just about play – adjacent is a frog creek and ephemeral grasslands which are maintained by Bushcare and are home to rarely-found-in-town species of frogs such as the striped marsh frog and bleating tree frog.
