Hibiscus Swimming Pool

Mt Gravatt

Updated: Nov 18, 2018

A favourite southside haunt on a hot day is Hibiscus swimming pool located in the Hibiscus Sports Complex at Upper Mt Gravatt.

With three pools, water play area and water slide, Hibiscus has something for everyone – including a 50 metre Olympic-sized outdoor pool with shade at the shallow end and two indoor heated pools (25 metre and 12 metre). In addition, you'll find a fully fenced wading pool with tropical island water feature for toddlers and a slippery-dip for kids of all ages.

Hibiscus is an ideal location with lots of lawn and leafy shade to relax under as well as plenty of picnic tables, with a cafe on site selling espresso coffee, light lunches and ice-blocks. Meanwhile, swimming lessons are provided all-year round by the family-owned and operated Hibiscus Swimming Academy.

Need to know: During winter, only the indoor heated pools are open. Other facilities at the complex include a free skate park, gym and squash courts.
