Entry to  Supernormal is either via the riverfront walk or Queen Street, where there's a staircase leading down past Bar Miette to the restaurant, where guests step inside the glass doors to be greeted at the massive, hand-sculpted, emerald marble maître’ d station.

The stunning venue features a green peppered terrazzo floor, timber carved bar, oversized columns, panelled timber, rattan detailing, and bamboo pendant lights, with lofty floor-to-ceiling windows offering unparalleled views of the iconic Story Bridge.

Inspired by the landscape, the warm climate, and abundance of local produce, the menu includes appetisers, raw bar, entrées, dumplings, mains and large dishes designed to share.

Influenced by Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong cuisines, the contemporary Australian restaurant offers a mouthwatering menu of classic dishes reinvented with a twist.

Highlights include Claypot Sticky Pork Rib Dumplings; Ginger and Prawn Dumplings; Baked Abalone Pastries; Whole Steamed Coral Trout with brown butter and lime dashi; Szechuan and Yellow Chilli Poached Moreton Bay Bugs; Hand-Rolled Shanxi Noodles; and Whole Mud Crab with black pepper sauce.

Supernormal's signature, must-try dishes include Half Crispy Duck - salt cured, spiced and twice cooked, served with steamed bread and condiments, and the much-loved New England Lobster Rolls.

To complement the food, Supernormal has carefully curated a quality wine list of varietals, featuring close to 400 bins, with priority given to family-owned producers, from emerging and modern to benchmark and classic producers.

Cocktails inspired by Brisbane's sub-tropical climate are also offered, including classics alongside bold tiki-inspired creations - think Coco Colada (Zacapa 23 rum, falernum & young coconut), La Primervera (Don Julio bianco tequila, mezcal, grapefruit sherbet & cardamon) and Mai Tai (husk coconut rum & agricole, yuzu, green tea & macadamia).

Upstairs, the private dining Bridge Room boasts natural timber shutters, screening the space for exclusive events. This room is flanked by the heritage Petrie Bight sandstone wall on one side, with a framed view of the Story Bridge.

Good to know - Supernormal offers indoor and riverside dining for up to 150 guests while The Bridge Room seats 50.

Need to know - Located on the riverfront at 443 Queen Street, entry to Supernormal is via the river boardwalk, from Queen Street taking the stairs, or via the lift down to the boardwalk from Bar Miette.
