Love Follows a Line

Brisbane Quarter

Updated: Jul 12, 2025

Love Follows a Line is a joyful, larger-than-life art installation by internationally recognised artist Matthew Aberline and on display in Brisbane Quarter from 3 July to 16 August 2025.

Created in collaboration with The Beautiful and Useful Studio, this vibrant, oversized inflatable flower garden is all about sparking moments of wonder and connection.

The large-scale work is both playful and profound, celebrating love, kindness, patience and respect, and how these societal qualities are passed from generation to generation. Think bold colour, giant blooms, and a sense of joy that’s impossible not to share.

In response to the free ‘Wonderstruck’ exhibition now showing at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) until 6 October, the installation is designed to bring a touch of that same magic to the heart of the city.

Artist, Matthew Aberline, said that Love Follows a Line invites audiences to slow down, reflect, and share in a moment of tenderness and memory.
